QUALIFICATIONS

Steadily employed as a graphic artist for thirty years in the private and commercial art industries.  I have worked on projects involving signage,  murals,  faux finishes,  large sculptures and dioramas.  I have worked extensively with FRP,  wood,  plastics,  HDU and concrete.  I have traveled on numerous installations both as a site supervisor and as part of a team of specialists.   I was most recently employed as Senior Graphics Supervisor at Scenic Productions Incorporated until it closed its doors during the spring of 2001.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

• MANIMALS:  Created, painted and printed a poster series of 25 images of animals in reverse roles with man.
• FLIGHTS OF FANTASY:   Created, painted and printed a fine art print series of fantasy aircraft in unique scenarios
• EARTHQUEST:  Estimated,  developed specifications and subcontracted all art for Ford Motor Company's traveling exhibit for BBH.
• BATS:  Estimated, developed specifications and painted all art for two BBH exhibits traveling in USA and Europe.
• JFKHEALTHWORLD/CHICAGO:  Estimated, developed specifications all art including a 92 foot sculpture and 18 interactive exhibits.
• NATIONAL COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME:  Painted all art included faux finishes,  banners and lettering.
• BUSCH GARDENS-MONTU, ALPENGEIST, SESAME PLACE:  All graphics and paint packages for signage, banners and sculpture finishes, digital prints, silkscreens, subcontracting and application.
• SEAWORLD-ATLANTIS, MANGO JOE'S:  All art for the gift shop, restaurant and interior.  Painting and art work on props.
• FIELD MUSEUM-TRAVELING AFRICA:  400+ silk screen and paint applications for BBH exhibit.
• NBA CAFE-ORLANDO:  Automotive bronze finish on 35 foot exterior FRP sculpture of NBA basketball player.
• KC MEDICAL CENTER-LIVING BLOODSTREAM:  All automotive paint applications including translucent finishes on 65 foot walkthrough artery and heart. 
• PARADISE ISLAND/ATLANTIS:  All paint finishes on exterior sculpted railings and giant sea ornaments,  35 foot Greek ship with oars and sails, patina bronze finish on eight foot tall dragons in the Sea Dragon Lounge at Paradise Island.
• MGM GRAND, LAS VEGAS:  All gold "Luminore"  finishes on twelve sixteen foot figurines. 
• UNIVERSAL ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE, FLORIDA:  92 sculpted signs for Seuss Island.  /All paint and graphics, Jurassic Park bas reliefs/ Colossus, Poseidon/estimate time and materials.  Flying Unicorn-Lucas Studios projects.
• HARDROCK CAFE, ORLANDO:  Automotive faux finish on 120 marbleized columns, capitals and bases in varying dimensions up to 16 feet in height.

Scenic Productions, Inc.:  Senior Graphics Supervisor  May 1996-May 2001

Museum Services:  Senior Graphics Supervisor and artist:  1993-1996

Technical advisor to the Art Director and Production Manager for all graphics and paint applications.  Provided estimates on time and materials, cost analysis and assessment of vendor capabilities.  Maintained library of resources of materials, suppliers and subcontractors.  Produced all paint samples for clients and for in-house replication.  Determined methodologies for faux finishes, vinyl, latex paints, automotive paints, primers, stencil applications and various other products such as Luminore. Clear coat applications and various finishes on all products. 

Other responsibilities have included training and mentoring of new employees within the art department, scheduling of staff time under my direct supervision,  production and delivery of quality final product on schedule at or under budget.
